Background
St. Louis CMM Calibration and Repair coordinates performance verification, repair and programming for coordinate measuring machines used by manufacturers across Missouri and the Greater Midwest. Work is scoped against the machine's specification and the standard the customer's quality system requires, then placed with a laboratory whose accredited scope covers the measurement. Certificates are issued under the performing laboratory's accredited scope, and calibration is completed by that laboratory from request review through certificate delivery and recall scheduling.
Operating History
Demand in this region tracks the audit calendars of Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers to heavy equipment, agricultural and off-highway machinery manufacturing, concentrated around Decatur, Peoria and the Missouri River corridor. Those suppliers operate under ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or AS9100 clauses that require traceable calibration, identified status, and a documented response when equipment is found out of tolerance.
Coverage was built around that geography: on-site service for the large bridge and gantry machines fixed in a shop's inspection cell, ship-in service for portable arms and smaller units, and a consolidated gage crib interval so a facility is not tracking two calendars for one inspection department.
