This policy explains what information is collected through cmmcalibrationstlouis.com, how that information is used, and the commercial arrangement under which requests submitted here are handled. It applies to this website and to requests submitted through it.

Disclosure of the Commercial Arrangement
Operated by St. Louis CMM Calibration and Repair, cmmcalibrationstlouis.com is a marketing and referral website. It is not a calibration laboratory, and no CMM Calibration work is undertaken by the operator of this site.
Requests are passed instead to external laboratories, which hold their own accreditation, run their own quality management systems, and issue their own certificates and reports in their own name. Three criteria decide which one receives a request: current accreditation and its scope, demonstrated capability for the measurement requested, and record of delivery.
The operator of this website is paid in connection with that introduction — a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. The price you are quoted does not change, whatever the form or the amount, and the payment gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. The conditions of supply repeat this disclosure, which is stated openly not implied.
The Information Received
Information arrives here from two directions.
From you, with a request: name, company, email address and telephone number; the item, the quantity, the measurement points and the tolerances; the standard required and the turnaround needed.
From your browser, automatically: IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site. That is ordinary technical information and is kept in aggregate.
Payment card details form no part of either category and are not collected through this website.
Use of Information
The purposes are set out here in full. Request detail is used to review the request, to obtain a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and to correspond with you about the request and the quotation. Technical information is used to keep this site available and secure, and to understand which pages are used.
It is not sold. It is not rented or traded. It is not supplied to third parties for their own marketing.
Recipients
Request detail is shared with the laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or perform the work, and with the service providers who host this website, deliver its email, or provide analytics. Those providers act on instructions and are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
Information is also disclosed where disclosure is required by law, or where an accreditation body exercises a right of access to the records of a laboratory performing work.
Confidentiality
Technical material is the most sensitive thing a request carries. Drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results are therefore treated as confidential, on the same basis as the confidentiality obligations that apply to accredited laboratory work, and are seen only by those who need them to prepare a quotation or complete the work.
Where disclosure is required by law it is made, and you are notified that it has been made unless that notification is itself prohibited.
Cookies and Analytics
Only functional cookies are set, together with aggregate visit counting where analytics is enabled. Blocking and deleting cookies is possible in most browsers, and the site can still be used afterwards — with one caveat, which is that a submitted form may not be recorded correctly.
Retention Periods
Inquiry records are retained for as long as they are needed to answer the request and to meet accounting and record-keeping obligations, and are then deleted or stripped of identifying detail. Records held by a laboratory that performed work are retained under that laboratory's own records policy.
Access, Correction and Deletion
You may ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, using the contact routes on the contact page. Requests are answered within thirty days. Any marketing email sent carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request is honored on receipt.
Amendment and Governing Law
Revision is possible at any time; the version published at cmmcalibrationstlouis.com governs. The laws of Missouri apply to this statement.
